The Domaine de Monrecour has equipped itself with electric all-road bikes. This new rental service will allow you to discover Périgord Noir in a different way! With family or friends, test the 3 circuits near the Domaine de Monrecour and discover the villages of Domme, La Roque-Gageac or the castle of Beynac and Les Milandes.
Fly in a hot air balloon
What if you shared a moment of emotion while taking off from the Domaine de Monrecour. With our partner, Périgord Dordogne Montegolfières, it is possible. The Golf Practice
The Domaine de Monrecour is continuing to develop and will offer you a new activity from the end of July. A golf practice will be created in the castle's 12-hectare park. 8 carpets for right or left-handed people, eco-responsible practice balls and golf clubs will be at your disposal. You can also learn or improve your skills on request at the Domaine's reception. A putting green and an approach green will be created very soon, allowing you to discover all the compartments of Golf. To enhance your experience; we will also offer a menu of drinks and boards to share to be consumed directly on site. So don't hesitate any longer, come and enjoy the pleasures of the little white ball...
Outings in Gabares
Want to share a moment on the Dordogne, what if you let yourself be tempted by a descent in a gabare, a traditional boat from the region with a flat bottom. Our partner, Gabares Norbert, located in La Roque Gageac, will make you discover some of the most breathtaking sites in Périgord Noir along the way. The Castle of Castelnaud la Chapelle
Ranked among the Most Beautiful Villages in France, Castelnaud la Chapelle takes you through time to return to the Middle Ages. Its medieval castle is a must-see site in the region. In season, the castle offers numerous activities such as trebuchet shooting and swordsmanship. The castle can be discovered all year round.
Beynac Castle
Linked by history to the Domaine de Monrecour and by its proximity, the Château de Beynac will allow you to cross 5 centuries of history as a castle in the heart of Périgord Noir. Perched at the top of the village of Beynac, the castle offers a beautiful view of the Dordogne valley. Open all year
A stroll to the market
To discover products from Périgord Noir such as truffles, walnuts, strawberries and duck in all their forms, nothing beats a farmers' market. The Sarlat market is one of the largest in the region and welcomes you on Saturday morning and Wednesday morning in season. The Saint-Cyprien market welcomes you on Sunday morning.
The Castle of Milandes
Between castle, gardens and bird show just a few minutes from the Domaine de Monrecour, let yourself be carried away by the Château des Milandes and the incredible story of the talented Joséphine Baker who was once the mistress of the place. This mythical place can be discovered from March to January. The Domaine de Monrecour is ideally placed to discover its castles and even offers a view of the Château de Beynac as well as that of Les Milandes.
Discovering the gardens of Périgord
Come and discover the 22 hectares of the Marqueyssac gardens for a green break during your stay. This site, classified as a historic monument, offers a magnificent view of the Dordogne valley. As for the gardens of Eyrignac, they present you with its magnificent French-style gardens. In season, the White Picnics take place there, a friendly meeting where people come dressed in white and enjoy the gardens.
Going back in time at the Parc du Bournat
The Bournat Park, 25 minutes by car from the Domaine de Monrecour, welcomes you as in 1900 with its mill, its farm and all these artisans. Blacksmith, baker, cutler, lacemaker etc... will be able to help you discover their arts while respecting traditions
